Whatever is used to bond the plates must be able to withstand high winds and extreme temperature from below freezing to above 100F. | | | Products:Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) | | | Substrate:Steel | | | Application Method:The IFU for the Belzona 1111 was followed. The MBX Bristle Blaster was used to prepare the tank. A grinder with a coarse wheel was used to prepare the plates. Non-chlorinated cleaner was used to clean the surfaces prior to the application. | | | Belzona Facts:Belzona 1111 was chosen for this application due to its ability to strongly bond to a steel substrate. Without the ability to weld or drill holes in the tank, Belzona's cold curing product was the best and only option. | | | Photographs Description
- Preparing the area 1" wider than the plate all the way around for proper application.
- Final surface preparation using the MBX Bristle Blaster.
- Scrubbing it in with a brush.
