Problem: This wastewater pump was originally rebuilt in 1989 with Belzona when the lower portion of the pump bowl had eroded severely causing small pinholes to develop in the side casing.

1. The pump bowl after the lower portion had been grit blasted.

2. Rebuilding the lower bowl section with Belzona 1311 in progress.

3. Additional rebuilding underway.

4. The rebuilt areas and the entire lower portion of the bowl received 2 coats of Belzona 1321.

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP 3 & CEP-5.

Belzona Facts

This pump has remained in constant service since the 1989 repair. It was taken out of service for a major inspection. The inspection revealed that small sections of the original repair were showing signs of delamination along the edges so it was decided that these would be repaired while the pump was down.
