Problem: Severe corrosion occurring in base of drum where previous glass flake lining system had failed in service.

Application Situation
Flare drum handling hydrocarbons, sludge, flare gas and potential HF contamination. Operating temperature of 100°C to 120°C with steam out at 220°C. Design pressure is 3,5 bar/g, operating - 0,2 bar/g
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.

The application took just two days to complete. Heating equipment was used to minimise downtime.
