Belzona Repairs Ships Generator After Weld Repair Fails

Application Situation:

Main generator oil sump which is shared with ships main engine. Initial weld repair failed.

Problem:

Damaged generator casing allowing coolant into main sump threatening ships main engine bearings.

Application Method:

Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet ENC-1. Particular attention paid to removing all substrate contamination using solvent washing and heat.

Belzona Facts:

Classic failure of welding cast iron. Ship sails nightly but re-work completed in 5 hours keeping ship on schedule at full power. Customer is delighted with Belzona!
