Problem: The specifier (a Japanese engineering company) was looking for an ideal protective lining for their newly constructing high pressure separators. Belzona Engineering Department directly involved with them from the FEED stage and sprayable Belzona 1391S with nozzle insert system was specified for those vessels which will be operating in Algeria.

Application Situation
5 new oil separators which will be operating up to 40 bar pressure.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-5 for protecting and rebuilding steelwork, and TCC-16b for protecting the small bore nozzles. The linings were applied to the bottom half and the inlet end dome of each vessel. Prior to the spray application of Belzona 1391S, stripe coat and nozzle insert were conducted with Belzona 1391T. The inserted sleeves were pre-fabricated with Belzona 1511.

A Belzona Corporate Inspector was dispatched for each vessel's application to ensure the quality assurance of this project. The Customer was satisfied with Belzona's technical support provided from the initial specification stage till the final inspection job.
