Problem: Over a period of time the exposed surface of the Belzona Elastomer oxidizes allowing it to slowly erode with the water movement.

  1. Some of the Belzona expansion joints after 5 years of service had eroded to below the level of the pool tiles and needed to be “topped up” 
  2. The old joints were cleaned with a wire wheel to remove all oxidation before being Conditioned

The original Belzona expansion joints had been in service for 5 years.

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-6.
