Problem: Sodium sulfate as well as some sulfuric acid is used to control the pH as well as sulfur content in the cooking liquor. This sulfuric acid mixing sta-tion suffered from acid deterioration and actually contaminated the paper making stock below.

Application Situation
Chemical containment floor of a sulfuric acid mixing station.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-15. After pressure washing and neutralizing the containment area with soda ash, two coats of Belzona® 4311 (Magma CR1) was applied by brush and roller.

The mill needed a coating material that would stand a variety of concen-trations of sulfuric acid up to 98%.
