Problem: A tear in a conveyor belt carrying solid waste threatened to shut down this section of the plant. The belt has previously been repaired by hot vulcanizing, which did not provide a long term solution.

Application Situation
The conveyor belt that is carrying dry waste at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Application Method
The belt was degreased with Belzona 9111. The belt was roughened using the Belzona roughing brush, top and bottom. Belzona 2911 was applied to the roughened areas and allowed to cure. Belzona 2311 was applied to the damaged areas. The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-1. 
Belzona Facts
The repair was completed in less than two hours and at a fraction of the cost of belt replacement or hot vulcanizing, thus minimizing downtime. The repair is still in service.
