Belzona 1593

Problem: The vessel operates at 150°C (302°F) and 1.6 MPa (232 psi) pressure. The amine media, rich in H2S, is extremely corrosive, leading to severe pitting and thinning of the vessel wall, thereby increasing operational risks.

Application Situation
Reboiler in the Desulfurization unit.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. Belzona 1511 was used to fill the pitted areas and two (2) coats of Belzona 1593 were applied for overall corrosion protection.

The life of this piece of equipment was extended at a fraction of the cost of replacement. More importantly, the excellent corrosion protection provided by Belzona 1593 will ensure that the vessel operates safely.
