Problem: Previously the pump only lasted two years in service before requiring major overhaul. Originally coated in 2010 with Belzona, after six years of uninterrupted service, the customer opened the pump for mechanical maintenance. Belzona coating was found to be in excellent condition but it was decided to refresh the Belzona protection to prepare the pump for more years of service in sludge.

Application Situation

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-1, CEP-3 and CEP-4. The coating applied in 2010 was roughened and the new coating was applied on top.
