Problem: The tank is to contain Propylene Glycol so it was expected that in service corrosion would be experienced. A short turn around time was required for this tank to be returned to service within the customers expectations. Access was also restricted within the tank due to the internal furniture.

Application Situation

A newly fabricated tank for an industrial refrigeration system was in need of corrosion protection.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona system Leaflet TCC-5.

Belzona Facts

The choice was between a corrosion resistant coating & fabricating a new tank out of stainless steel. Cost & lead time favored the coating option.
