Problema: Pumping stock at 125˚F, with calcium carbonate added, goes through a boil out process using sodium hydroxide and phosphoric acid at 165˚F. With the wear on the casing, it is just a matter of time before the chemicals create a hole.

Método de aplicação
The pump was grit blasted. Belzona 1111 was used to fill all the pitting. Two coats of 1391T were brushed on.
Fatos Belzona
There were no alternatives. Even a new pump would need to be coated to handle the caustic/acid boil out.
