Problem: Both the wall and bottom areas of the thickener were suffering from general corrosion damage. Also, there was a significant presence of erosion on the bottom area up to the height of the rotary arm caused by the slurry.

Application Method

The coating was applied to the entire thickener according to the Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.

Belzona Facts

Customer was looking for a long term corrosion protection and erosion resistant coating. Feedback from customer in November 2016 confirmed that thickener was still working well with no issues.
