Problem: Sulfuric acid and other chemicals were collecting through the years into the trough and severely compromising the integrity of the structure.

Application Situation

Chemicals storage room spill collection trough.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona System Leaflets TCC-09, TCC-15 and WPA-04. Damaged concrete was rebuilt and leveled with a slurry mixure of Belzona 4111 and Belzona 4151. Vertical damage was repaired with Belzona 4141. The structure was protected with two coats of Belzona 4311.

Belzona has been previously specified for other projects at the facility and performance has been proven. When new problems arise, the Belzona consultant is regularly asked for a solution. Most of the time the Belzona solution is chosen.
