Problem: The locating bed on the press had worn over time due to sliding different shaping tools into place. This was leading to the shaping tools sitting at an angle and producing inaccurate results.

Application Situation
LVD Pressbrake used to bend sheet metal
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet GSS-8. Forming boards were made and coated with Belzona 9411 (Release Agent). They were then held in place along the length of the press. Belzona 1121 was injected to the require depth. Once cured the formers were removed revealing the new surface.
Belzona Facts
The customer estimated to remove, send off site, rebuild then machine back, and refit would have cost anywhere between £15 - £20,000. The Press would also have been out of service for a couple of weeks giving further downtime costs. The repair was carried out in one day and the press was only out of service for two days.
