- Conditioning the surface
- Troweling down Belzona 4111
- Completing the application with Belzona 4111 after the forming lid wasremoved
Application Situation
Runway lights.
Application Method
A lid was made as a former so the light cover can be removed for servicing after Belzona 4111 was applied. The concrete was roughened and Belzona 4111 was troweled down to form a "ramp" around the runway light. After full cure a snowplow was used to drive over the ramp dropping the plow at 50 MPH. There was no damage to the ramp.
Belzona Facts
The light pots cost $700 to replace and the only alternative was to continue replacing the pots as they were damaged. Other concrete repair materials had been tried but failed under the snowplow.
