Problem: Due to the design of the Air Cooler, the gasket under the cover could not be changed. Over time and vibrations of Cooler, the deformed gasket lost its sealing and caused the performance of Air Cooler to decrease.

Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet HEX-13b. Application area preparation has done as abraded by hand tools in workshop. All surfaces were throughly cleaned. Belzona 2911 Primer has been applied as thin coat. Then the leaking area of Air Cooler Cover filled and coated with Belzona 2211 MP Hi-Build Elastomer to provide seal air and seawater.

Belzona Facts

Air Cooler did not allow the gasket under the cover to be changed due to its design. This made the missing seal difficult to repair. Belzona was the only alternative that could seal from the outside to withstand vibrations.
