Problem: Due to the change of bronze bush and corrosion from sea water a new protective coating was required on the shaft. Since the shafts were very long, flex vibration was a concern. A flexible protective system was used.

Application Situation
(Two) 13 meters long and 0.32 meters wide tail shafts on an exploration boat.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How Leaflet SOS-6.
Belzona Facts
Rubber vulcanization would have taken more time at a higher cost. Belzona finished the coating in two days and saved the customer a substantial sum of money.
