Problem: Welding was not an option. A cold bonding system was, therefore, required.

Application Situation
Need to install dam to contain fire fighting foam on top of existing fuel storage tank.
Application Method
Surface was prepared using a vacuum recovery grit blast unit containing non-sparking aggregate. Angle iron supports for the foam dam were then bonded into place ensuring both surfaces were wetted out with the Belzona® 1111.

Safety of tank upgraded using system free from flames or sparks. Belzona® 1111 provides strong, stable bond to support the foam dam.
