Problem: The KSB pumps were typically only lasting 3 months due to significant damage to the titanium substrate operating at a temperature of 60°C. The refinery contacted the local distributor for a Belzona solution to improve longevity of the pump.

Application Situation

One of the largest refineries in Poland has significant damage to the titanium substrate of a KSB pump.

Application Method

The local distributor coated the pump with three layers of Belzona 1321 to extend the working life of the pump and protect the titanium substrate from further damage. The application was complited in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet CEP -01.

Belzona Facts

Since applying the Belzona 1321 the pumps are now typically lasting 9 months saving the client money on down time and repairing more frequently.
