Application Situation
Restoring magnetic wheels in an ink factory.
Application Method
The application was completed in accordance with an adapted version of Belzona System Leaflet SHM_12. A test patch of Belzona 1812 was applied to the wheel to see if the magnets would still work covered with Belzona. A 4 kg tin can magnetically stuck to the wheel so the application went ahead. The previous polyurethane coating was removed and the steel was then blasted before reinstalling the magnets and applying Belzona 1812. Acetone was used to make the wheel look smooth and the sides were coated with Belzona 5811 for aesthetic purposes before delivering to the customer.
Belzona Facts
The magnetic wheel is still in great conditions with no problems nearly 3 years on.
