Problem: The Customer required high temperature, erosion-corrosion resistant internal coating on newly fabricated Duplex stainless steel spools and vessels.

Application Situation
Internals of transition spools and new vessels at a vessel fabricator in China. These transition spools were connected to the different vessels and are due to be delivered to the end-user for installation at jobsite in Kazakhstan (2019).
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-3. Following surface preparation by grit blasting, the Belzona 1391T was hand applied directly onto the prepared surface.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 1391T was applied to stop corrosion from occurring on the the internal of spools. The ceramic fillers in the product help to ensure the wear rate from the erosive forces is kept to a minimum. Belzona 1391T has a long overcoating window which cut down the cost and time of having to blast between the first and second coat.
