Application Situation
Pulp-agitator blades in the chemical section of the phosphate mine.
Application Method
After removing the remainder of the rubber coating, the blades were welded on the heavily damaged areas. The surface was then grit-blasted before the application of Belzona 1812 according to the SHM-13 Belzona procedure.
Belzona Facts
Previously, the mine had to shut down the tank every month to replace the rubber-coated blades. Once coated with Belzona 1812, the blades were inspected after 12 months in service and were in good condition, requiring some retouching on about 10% of the surface: In 2017. the customer asked for a repair of 16 blades for other storage tanks.
