After surface preparation, Belzona 1811 was applied to protect against abrasive attack and Belzona 4311 to protect against chemical attack.

Belzona Facts

The Belzona solution was preferred because it is significantly cheaper than replacing the Screw Auger. As well as this, the maintenance team were able to perform the repair in-situ and the Belzona materials cured significantly faster than other materials so the screw auger was able to go back into operation quickly.
