Application Situation

Rebuild and repair of a draft tube used as part of a Hydroelectric process.

Application Method

This application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of system leaflet VPF-01. After the surface preparation, Belzona 1311 was used to resurface the profile. Once the damaged areas had been repaired, the 40 cm inner part of the draft tube where cavitation was intense, was coated with Belzona 1321 in order to provide cavitation and erosion resistance.

Belzona was able to rebuild and protect the draft tube with a quick and easy solution. Therefore, the customer was very satisfied.
