Проблема: The occasional leaking seal of process water was causing the advanced corrosion attack of the metal substrate of the pump base, which was leading up to the possibility of the base collapsing. At which point the pump and motor would be out of alignment.

1.Pumps were removed for access to the pump base. 2.Substrate was blasted clean to near white finish. 3.Belzona 1121 was applied to all pits and welds as per the IFU. 4.Belzona 5811 was applied to the entire pump base as per the IFU. 5. Belzona 5233 was applied to the entire pump base for further UV protection.

Customer chose to use the Belzona alternative because a new pump base was 3-6 weeks out, and the Belzona method allowed them to return to operating service within a week.
