Problema: Following impact damage, the 800mm diameter, GRP sewerage pipe had cracked. The crack ran around the complete circumference of the pipe.

The main Sewage pipes into the plant is leaking and requires a wrap system applied to repair it.

Método de aplicação

Surface preparation was completed using grinders and specialist power tools. A fillet of Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) was then applied on the step side of the joint. Repairs were then completed on the major leak area using the Belzona SuperWrap II system to a non-compliant standard. Three wraps of Belzona SuperWrap II were completed with a 50% overlap. The system will be applied as a complete circumferential wrap extending the repair area up to 1 linear meter. Once completed, Belzona Release Film was applied over the wet area in a spiral fashion and secured. Once fully cured, the Release Film was removed, and the repair was completed.
