Problem: After one short year in service, the original coating was delaminating in large sheets exposing the concrete and rebar to the corrosive action of the hot condensate.

Application Situation
Subterranean condensate tank with an operating temperature of 186°F (86°C) and a design temperature of 220°F (104°C)
Application Method
Belzona® 1391 and Belzona® 1511 were applied in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-2.
Belzona Facts
The original failed coating was discovered with only four days remaining in the annual shutdown.  Belzona was easily able to recoat the tank in this limited timeframe and to date has given two years of trouble-free service.
