Application Situation
Cooling Tower with severe corrosion in cold water basins
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-1, TCC-5 and RPA-1. The steel was grit blasted, holes repaired with Belzona® 1121. Seams sealed with Belzona® 3121 and Belzona® 5811 applied to provide overall corrosion protection.
Belzona Facts
A new tower would cost $80,000 and downtime would have been weeks. The hospital needed a 5 day turnaround which was achieved using Belzona.
