Application Situation
Cracked flange on cooling water pump.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance to a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11. A composite wrap using Belzona 1121 and Belzona 4151 with Belzona 9371 was used to encapsulate the flange.
Belzona Facts
The pump is critical for production and the customer could not afford to shut it off to remove it for the repair. The Belzona application was done in place and within hours which allowed for production to be back on-line the same day and with little downtime.
