Problem: Due to a failure in the application of an alternative product a coating which can be applied to a variety of pipe diameters (4" to 32") was required.

Application Situation
Trial application lining small diameter pipe using spin spray equipment.
Application Method
After centering the spray head in the pipe the spin speed and feed rate were adjusted to obtain correct coating thickness. The calculations required are based on spin speed (rpm) feed rate and product output from the airless spray pump. After satisfactory trials the application itself will be carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-2.

Belzona 1331 was chosen as the material can be applied using spin spray equipment at over 1000 micron thickness in a single application without sagging. The excellent overcoat window also allows for multi-coat applications when necessary.
