Belzona 5122 (Clear Cladding)
Problem: On the external walls of the East Lodge building, it was found that moisture ingress from driving rain quickly destroyed the newly refurbished rooms, wasting a large portion of the budget. Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet WPA-8.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 5122 offers an invisible water repellent barrier that allows the surfaces to breathe and improves the thermal performance of saturated walls by up to 40%. Approximately 270 square meters of the external walls were quickly treated with a simple application that minimised disruption to the museum visitors. The surface was immediately weatherproof and undetectable to the naked eye. The client was delighted with the results and the refurbishment to the rooms within could resume without further risk. The protection of the building was reassessed 6 years later and found to still be working perfectly.
