Problem: Leaks were identified in the high bay of a large distribution warehouse. On further inspection it was decided to coat all the joints withing the valley gutters

Areas of probable leaks were identified on external inspection of the high bay

All joints were identified and marked on an aerial plan

Obvious issues were showing and Belzona was the chosen solution

6 years on and the repairs to the valley gutter joints continue to protect.

Application Situation

As the joints were getting increasingly troublesome, valuable stock underneath was repeatedly getting damaged and spoilt when ever heavy rain came in. The client needed a certain solution to ensure protection of stock and the avoidance of repeat applications due to the difficulty of access to the externals of the high bay

Application Method

All old materials were removed
The area was wire brushed, cleaned and degreased using Belzona 9111
A first coat of Belzona 3121 was applied and the Belzona 9331 reinforcing sheet laid in
A second coat of Belzona 3121 was applied to complete the repair

Belzona Facts

Many other materials had been tried, all had failed. Belzona were a trusted supplier to the client so it was decided to use the Belzona 3121.
6 years later, there have been no further issues with the Valley and side gutter joints
