Problem: The tank was experiencing classic Corrosion Under Insulation caused by water ingress that was sitting on the lagging bands around the tank and soaking through the lagging. The problem was further exascerbated by the elevated temperature of the tank. Problem made still worse by the lining material being highly volatile requiring a Nitrogen shroud before and during any potential welding operations.

Application was carried out in accordance with with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-1.
Belzona Facts
Customer's previous experience had proven that welding was very costly and time consuming due to the flammable nature of the lining material. The Belzona repair was done in one-third of the time and for half the cost, giving an overall savings of over £4,000 ($7500).
