Crankshaft was scored due to debris and low oil levels in the sump.
Anwendungsverfahren
Application carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet MPT-9. Belzona® 1131 was hand applied to the scored journal and subsequently hand finished with fine emery.
Belzona-Fakten
New crankshaft cost: $55,000 and that was the good news. Bad news: weeks to obtain. Not a recommended application on high speed cranks but highly successful in this application. Since startup, sump was run dry of oil twice with no damage to the Belzona® 1131.
