Belzona® Repairs Porous Gearbox

Fluid Flow (FLOW)

Engines and Casings (ENC)

Customer Location:

Pump Manufacturer, UK

Application Date:

June 2017

Application Situation:

A gearbox

The gearbox was found to be porous and was leaking oil. This loss of oil was hampering the proper operation of the gearbox. The exact areas which were porous would be difficult to identify. The only sure way of sealing the internals was by coating with an impermeable barrier.
