Problem: Due to corrosion the shaft was out of balance creating vibration to the air handling unit.

Application Situation

Air Handler shafts can be repaired on site by any mechanical contractor saving downtime to the end user.

Application Method

This shaft was cross-hatch ground then thoroughly degreased using Belzona 9111. Then Belzona 1111 was applied according to the Instructions For Use. A former was used and product allowed to cure. Upon removal of the former the Belzona was sanded smooth and mic'd for clearances.

This saved the technician time by not having to go purchase a replacement shaft and allowed the schools HVAC system to be returned to service sooner.
