Problem: Degradation of the existing anti-corrosion system and rapidly progressing corrosion of steel. Exposure to UV rays and atmospheric precipitation. A very aggressive chemical industry environment and fumes of sulfuric acid. Periodic pouring with sulfuric acid of 97% concentration and 40C temperature.

Application Situation
Anti-corrosion protection of a sulfuric acid tank together with the existing infrastructure.
Application Method
The application was completed in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet TCC-5. Abrasive blasting of steel constructions to a Sa 2.5 degree of purity and a corresponding roughness profile. Dismantling and degreasing the steel structure of the tank.
