Problem: Regular loading and unloading caused severe wear to the surface of the loading bay. A cost effective solution to this ongoing problem was required.

Application Situation

Asphalt covered loading bay to the plasterboard factory.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflets FPA-1, 2 & 8. After chipping away the damaged asphalt with pneumatic tools, the area was cleaned and prepared, followed by Belzona 4154 to bulk out the area. Belzona 4111 was then used to level the surface and to secure steel plates, previously coated with Belzona 4411 grip system.

Belzona Facts

Belse, the Belzona Distributor in Poland , has carried out many similar applications but before the introduction of Belzona 4154 had to use all Belzona 4111. This was considered an expensive option. The introduction of Belzona 4154 allows them to offer an equivalent performing application but at a much better price to the customer with the knowledge that they will receive a long lasting solution to loading bay problems.
