Problem: The structure had no previous coating and there was significant spalling at and below the waterline. Several electrical glands in the pit required resealing to prevent leakage into adjacent equipment vaults.

Application Situation
The municipal transportation utility required options to refurbish a wash pit for a bus fleet. Small concentrations of non-toxic alkaline soap powder are mixed with warm water and recirculated through and contained in the concrete wash pit
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets FPA-1 and GSS-4. Thorough steam cleaning completed prior to hand troweling. Belzona 4111 was applied onto vertical sidewalls. Belzona 2211 was applied into pipe glands after cleaning and conditioning to prevent further leakage from wash pit into adjacent equipment vaults
