Application Situation

Flanged pipe connections on transformer flange at the major power company.

Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with a modified of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11 and GSS-4. Leaks were firstly stopped by using Belzona 1221. Mould was constructed and a fluid grade of Belzona 2221 was poured in to encapsulate the flange.

Belzona Facts

Repairs were carried out in-situ without the need to take the transformer off-line. Savings were estimated at $150,000. The repaired flange was in continuous operation for over 4 years.
