Problem: The existing joint material had failed resulting in a route for water ingress inside the building. Some of the offices could not be used because of this leak.

Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet WPA-3 and WPA-9. The existing joint material was removed and the edges were rebuilt with Belzona 4141. Belzona 2211 was applied to seal the joint. To further seal and encapsulate the joint, bridging tape was applied over the expansion joint prior to the application of the Belzona 3111 system.This also provided an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Belzona Facts

Belzona 4141 provides a durable joint nosing, whilst Belzona 2211 provides a highly elastic long-term waterproof seal in the joint. The Client ordered two more expansion joint repairs after this one.
