Application Situation

On board scrubber elbow pipes of Ro-Ro vessel

Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-03 and CEP-05. Scrubber pipe surfaces have been prepared on board by the shipyard. All surfaces were throughly cleaned. Then the damaged surfaces and pittings were repaired with Belzona 1511 Super HT-Metal before coating with Belzona 1391T to provide overall erosion-corrosion and chemical protection.

Belzona Facts

It is substancially more cost-effective to repair and protect with Belzona versus replacement. In short time scrubber transition pipes were repaired and protected against severe corrosive conditions of Scrubber Water. The application has been completed in one day without any hot works. Pipes are now protected against future errosion-corrosion damages.
