Problem: Corrosion-erosion damaged lower half of the tail pipe due to stationary submerged in seawater for 3 years.

BEFORE SURFACE PREPARATION SHOWING THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE DUE TO METALLIC EROSION.

AFTER SURFACE PREPARATION BY GRIT BLASTING EXPOSING DEEP PITTING AND METAL LOSS.

ALL DAMAGED AREA WAS REBUILT USING BELZONA 1311.

COMPLETED APPLICATION.

Application Situation

Severe corrosion pitting on lower half of the Tail Pipe which needs to be rebuilt to restore the original state and requires ceramic protective coating for future prevention against erosion attack.

Application Method

The Belzona product was applied in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet SOS-1
Manual application using stiff bristle brush and provided plastic applicator to rebuild the eroded areas and to apply protective ceramic coating.

Belzona 1311 is a High performance Abrasion Resistant Rebuilding Grade.
Belzona 1321 is a High Performance Corrosion/ Erosion Resistant Ceramic Coating Grade.
One year after the application, the client provided feedback that the equipment is still in good working condition.
