Problem: Water was finding its way into the flats from the balconies. Customer needed a weatherproof and non-slip solution.

Application Situation

Asphalt access balconies on multi-story flats.

Application Method

Application was carriedout in accordnce with Belzona system Leaflets RPA-6 & 9. Loose asphalt was removed leaving either well bonded asphalt or concrete onto which a fully reinforced Belzona 3131 system was applied. An additional coat of Belzona 3131 was applied, blinded with Aggregate.

Belzona Facts

Belzona was chosen due to its cost effectiveness, ease of application and the fact that it could be applied during winter weather conditions. Use of aggregate in a top coat of Belzona 3131 creates a trafficable water and weatherproof system ideally suited to the environment.
