Problem: Customer was building 15 new storage tanks and wanted to create a long lifetime of the assets. Critical area's were inlet of the coils and the sump because of high temperature and chemicals.

Application Situation

15 new build tanks were almost ready to been shipped to a storage tank park to be installed. Perspect was asked to supervise the appplication which was executed by a local contractor.

Application Method

Substrate was masked and grit blasted. The profile was measured and well above 75um. After stripe coating on the welds and corners, two layers of Belzona 1593 were applied by brush and applicator. For each tank a test panel was made and tested for adhesion. All test panels were tested with dolly pull-off.

Belzona Facts

Belzona 1593 out-performed any other coating for these high temperatures and chemicals. Also high adhesion on the substrate was one of the benefits why the customer choose Belzona 1593.
