Problem: After a breakdown, the customer needed to repair the screws with a fast curing material, very close to start-up. The repair was carried out during the day and they were ready for start-up the same evening. A very successful quick-return-to-service repair.

Application Situation

After the breakdown, they had to go into full operation as soon as possible. “If we hadn't had Belzona 1818 with its fast-curing properties, the cost to the customer would have been very high. The alternative would have been to start up with uncoated surfaces which would have meant more unnecessary wear and tear and more expensive maintenance costs.

Application Method

Clean surfaces before grit blasting, wash with Belzona 9111. Grit blast to SA 2.5 of the surfaces. Mix and apply Belzona 1818 using the supplied accessories
