Problem: Customer wanted to protect newly built trenches, containment areas, and holding pit, for their new acid unit. Due to multiple previous Belzona containment applications in their facility, the customer was happy to proceed with Belzona 4181.

After four years of service, all areas are still in excellent shape when viewed in 2026 during routine cleaning and inspection.

Application Situation

The customer opted for Belzona 4181 AHR Magma Quartz for the ease of application versus applying acid brick everywhere.

Application Method

Concrete areas were allowed to cure for over 28 days. Surface was blasted and power washed. Application of Belzona 4181 was carried out by hand trowel.

Belzona Facts

The customer also looked at stainless steel lining of all of the containment areas, but these two methods were in the multi million dollar range. Not only was the Belzona an easier application, but provided a tremendous cost savings at less than $400,000 for products.
