Belzona 9221 aggregate sprinkled into the Belzona 1321 to refusal and packed down.

Application complete.

Application Situation
This drive roller was smooth which made it hard to move lumber with it. The customer chose to apply four strips of Belzona 1321 embedded with Belzona 9221 aggregate for positive grip. This allowed the lumber mill to be able to slow down the drive motor and reduce the cost of operation.
Application Method
A 4" hand grinder was used to heavily roughen the surface where the application was going to be. The area was thoroughly washed with solvent, and the Belzona 1321 was applied in one heavy coat about 15-20 mils thick before having the Belzona 9221 aggregate sprinkled into it and gently packed down with a small board.
Belzona Facts
By solving the slipping problem, this lumber mill reduced its operating costs by being able to slow down the motor that turned this drive roller. The Belzona 9221 aggregate was chosen because of its finer particles which would not mar or damage the lumber that was being moved by the roller.
