Problem: The critical issue stemmed from acidic formation on the steel spikes as the furnace cooled down, leading to the spikes corroding away, and in turn, the insulation falling off making the furnace inefficient.

Application Situation
Customer needed to protect steel prickles for insulation fixation against chemicals (various acids) in high temperature (150°C).
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.
Belzona Facts
If steel prickles are broken then insulation is damaged and do not protect steel oven wall against chemicals. Other competitive coatings were not suitable because they do not work in high temperature or it was too long time for application.
